MPM Supports Jake Still in Atlantic Row for Charity

4th December 2025

MPM is proud to sponsor Jake Still as he prepares to take on the World’s Toughest Row, a solo 3,000-mile Atlantic crossing from La Gomera to Antigua, set to begin in early December. This incredible challenge is the culmination of a journey Jake began after finishing university in the summer of 2021, when he set his goal of rowing an ocean.

Since then, Jake has joined Bradford Amateur Rowing Club, learned to row from scratch, and covered thousands of kilometres on the River Aire to build his skill, strength, and endurance. Over the past year, he has trained intensively on the North Sea, completing 390 hours of training and executing six complex GPS navigation routes to prepare for the challenges ahead.

Jake’s Atlantic row is not just a personal challenge; it’s also a mission to raise vital funds for two charities: The Rivers Trust and The Aire Rivers Trust. Both charities work tirelessly to restore and protect waterways and rivers, helping them recover from pollution, droughts, and flooding.

Healthy rivers support thriving communities, including Jake’s rowing club, and every donation helps these organisations continue their essential work.

“This race is as much about making an impact as it is about personal achievement,” says Jake. “I’m rowing solo, but I need support from everyone to help me reach my fundraising target of £10,000. Your contributions will help convert resilience and resolve into real change for our rivers.”

You can support Jake in two ways:
  1. Donate via his funding page: https://lnkd.in/eQA87gkU

  2. Follow his journey on LinkedIn, where he will share regular updates on training, boat preparation, and race progress.

During pre-race preparation, Jake has been working tirelessly to ensure his boat is race-ready, polishing the hull with alternative anti-foul coatings and performing detailed inspections. This dedication mirrors the precision and commitment MPM brings to its GRP and composite manufacturing projects, making this partnership a natural fit.

By supporting Jake, you can be part of an inspiring story of endurance, skill, and positive impact, celebrating the values of resilience and precision that define both Jake’s journey and MPM’s work.
