MPM Publishes 2025 Annual Review: The Year of Mastery

26th January 2026

MPM Group has published its 2025 Annual Review, reflecting a year defined by discipline, learning, and progress across the business in the composites sector.

2025 was positioned internally as The Year of Mastery, a deliberate focus on refining how we work, strengthening capability across our teams, and embedding quality at every stage of delivery. While manufacturing market conditions remained challenging and growth was selective, the year delivered meaningful improvements in operational performance, financial strength, and long-term resilience.

Across the group, turnover increased to nearly £9m, with gross profit doubling to £2.5m and retained profits tripling year-on-year. These results were achieved while improving right-first-time performance, reducing rework by approximately £50,000, and maintaining consistent output levels across our Leeds site.

Operationally, the business strengthened its foundations through clearer handovers, structured auditing, improved documentation, and investment in skills. Four new apprentices joined MPM in 2025, alongside continued in-house training and development across production, design, dispatch, and engineering.

The introduction of bio-based resins across eligible product ranges also supported progress against our ESG and Net Zero ambitions, without compromising quality or performance.

The acquisition of long-standing partner Lamplas marked a significant milestone for the group, expanding technical capability, strengthening capacity, and securing skilled jobs in UK composite manufacturing. Now operating as MPM Durham, the combined group employs over 90 people across more than 100,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing space.

Ben Wilson, Managing Director, commented:

“The Year of Mastery was about doing the fundamentals properly, building stability, strengthening capability, and raising standards across the business. Those foundations now put us in a strong position as we move into 2026, which we’ve defined as The Year of Productivity.”

The Annual Review also recognizes the people behind the progress, celebrating team award winners, apprentices, long-service contributors, and the behaviours that underpin MPM’s culture of Teamwork, Happiness, and Results.

As MPM enters 2026, the focus shifts to productivity: converting strong systems, skilled teams, and aligning processes into smarter output and long-term value for customers.
