14 years strong and counting — MPM delivers market-leading bespoke roof assembly kits for Jerba’s new Ford Transit campervan.
MPM is proud to highlight the strength of its long-term partnership with Jerba Campervans, a leading specialist in bespoke camper conversions. Since 2011, MPM and Jerba have collaborated closely to design, develop, and manufacture elevated GRP roofs tailored to the evolving VW Transporter and Ford Transit platforms.
A Partnership Built on Quality and Precision
With the retirement of the VW T5 and T6 models, Jerba approached MPM to innovate a new bespoke roof assembly kit for the upcoming Ford Transit T7 pop-top campervan.
This latest roof design features several industry-leading improvements:
- Designed in-house by MPM’s and Jerba engineers
- Manufactured using Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM) for improved production efficiency and consistent quality
- Developed directly from CAD data supplied by Ford, ensuring perfect mating to the Transit’s bodywork
- Delivered as a cassette-style assembly that can be installed quickly and precisely on-site
In late 2024, Jerba, MPM, and Ford secured design approval, confirming that all critical safety features were maintained after installing the new cassette roof assembly.
RTM allowing for Quick Installation
The RTM process used by MPM allows dry fibre to be injected under vacuum with industry-standard equipment, producing parts with repeatable quality at speed.
The cassette roof can be lowered onto the van roof and mounted in minutes, thanks to a dual A-face production technique that guarantees precision and ease of installation, reducing build times dramatically.
