MPM Celebrates Three Runner-Up Successes at the Leeds Manufacturing Festival Awards

Recognition at industry awards is never guaranteed, making it all the more meaningful when members of your team are recognised amongst the very best in the region.

MPM is incredibly proud to celebrate the achievements of three colleagues who were named runners-up at this year's Leeds Manufacturing Festival Awards, recognising their dedication, passion and contribution to both our business and the wider manufacturing industry.

The evening saw:

  • Ceejay Green named Runner-Up – Rising Star Award
  • Jonny Haley recognised as Runner-Up – Manufacturing Leader Award
  • Tim Kakunguwo recognised as Runner-Up – Apprentice of the Year

All runner-up winners can be seen on the left of the three images below.

While each award celebrates a different area of excellence, all three individuals embody the same qualities that underpin MPM's success: a commitment to continuous improvement, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for manufacturing.

Beyond celebrating individual success, the Leeds Manufacturing Festival continues to demonstrate what can be achieved when manufacturers, educators, local businesses and industry partners unite behind a common goal. By working collaboratively, organisations across the region are helping to raise awareness of the exciting careers available in manufacturing, inspire the next generation of talent and address the industry's growing skills gap.

As manufacturers, we all have a shared responsibility to support initiatives like the Leeds Manufacturing Festival. Attracting future engineers, apprentices, and manufacturing professionals cannot be achieved by one business alone—it requires businesses across the region to work together, share knowledge and actively promote the opportunities our industry offers. By investing collectively in people today, we are helping secure the long-term future of manufacturing across Yorkshire.

At MPM, developing people has always been at the heart of our business. Whether through apprenticeships (of which more than 15% of the MPM team are now apprentices), mentoring, leadership development or creating opportunities for career progression, we are committed to nurturing talent and supporting the future of UK manufacturing.

We want to congratulate all of this year's winners, finalists and nominees. The calibre of talent recognised throughout the evening is a testament to the strength, innovation and resilience of manufacturing across the region.

Finally, congratulations once again to Ceejay, Jonny and Tim. We are incredibly proud of your achievements and look forward to seeing your continued success as you help drive both MPM and the wider manufacturing industry forward.
