This year has started with a very active list of events and initiatives in support of the future of manufacturing.
With the recent Launch of the Leeds Manufacturing Festival and our re-design of a study room at the Leeds City College of Engineering, we are getting ourselves out and about to raise awareness of this very busy sector.
Young people are finally getting better visibility of the variety of roles and careers within the manufacturing sector and we have been only too delighted to again welcome a group of students from the UTC, right here in Leeds.
As is usual, James Marr showed the students around, this time however we were able to provide valuable insights into the specifics of GRP and were able to support them in their college project to make a Sea Buoy.
The students were really engaged and we hope found the tour even more useful than ever. We are proud of our business and our team spirit so we are delighted to keep enthusing the young people of Leeds to help secure the future of Manufacturing.
Future events include careers panels - which again will feature James Marr amongst others from the region.
