Our CNC machine, affectionally named Alan after our former pattern shop leader Alan Godden, has been successfully integrated into life at MPM over the past couple of weeks so we were delighted to officially acknowledge his addition to the team with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, held by non-other than Alan Godden himself and Brian Wilson - MPM founder and former MD.
The investment in the new machine highlights the ongoing commitment to excellence and high-quality output of products that have been inherent in the business since it started. Brian and Alan had keen eyes for the highest quality standards - something that has been carried through to sons Ben and Dylan and shared by the whole MPM team today.
Acknowledging the advancements in technology, whilst expressing the importance of teamwork and human precision, Alan and Brian were keen to impress upon the team that the new 'Alan' won't replace anyone, only enhance what they are already offering.
Just before handing over to Brian and Alan for the all-important ribbon-cutting moment, MD Ben applauded the team's commitment which has enabled the financial confidence to invest in the new machine and this new era in MPM's capabilities.
