Our Commitment

As part of MPM’s commitment to raising awareness of the multitude of opportunities available through a career in manufacturing, some of the team recently attended the Careers Fair at UTC Leeds. The event, attended by 15-18 years olds currently in education, provided the ideal platform to address the skills gap currently facing the manufacturing sector and raise awareness of everything exciting that our industry has to offer.

Apprenticeships at MPM

Providing better visibility of the variety of roles and careers available within the manufacturing sector and showcasing how apprentices play a key role in life at MPM is an ongoing objective for the team. Apprenticeships can offer many benefits including hands-on experience, technical training, and personal development, and we are dedicated to ensuring the next generation are aware of what they can achieve, at the same time as securing the future of manufacturing.

The Event

The event was well organised, and the students were engaged and enthusiastic to find out more about the specifics of GRP manufacturing, so to that end, we’ve committed to organising a student visit to MPM in the not too distant future. We look forward to welcoming the students and continuing to shout about our fantastic industry.

Ceejay Green: “In terms of student careers fairs, it was one of the best organised and smoothest events to attend. UTC Leeds did an excellent job in the pre-planning, communication and setup on the day. The quality of the college was reflected in the demeanour of the helpful staff and engaging students. We will be adding the UTC Careers fair to our events calendar going forward and continue to address the UK skills shortage”

Innovate - Quality - Reliable - Team - Leaders

"MPM understands the importance of quality, price and delivery. Achieving all 3 is no easy task, but every time we deal with MPM these 3 aspects are achieved."

Keith Siddle, Lamplas
