We are thrilled to introduce you to the newest member of the MPM team, Peter Occardi, who joins us in the role of Principal Engineer. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge in Solidworks, design, engineering and leadership, making an excellent addition to the ever-growing MPM family and he is already making a positive impact in the team. Knowing Peter from within the industry, originally as a customer, we know that his expertise and no-nonsense approach will add strength and experience, fitting in perfectly with our vision and values. We look forward to what he will bring to the MPM team moving forward.
In true MPM fashion, we of course wanted to find out a bit more about Peter so we asked him some questions, and here's what he said:
"What is your favourite music artist/band and song?"
"Harry Chapin - 'A Better Place to Be' - yes I know no one's ever heard of him"
"What's your favourite drink?"
"A nice milkshake – if it’s alcoholic it has to be a single Islay malt"
"What excites you most about joining [MPM/our team]?"
"Being able to make good use of my talents, skills and knowledge and to join and hopefully strengthen this closely knit team"
What do you hope to achieve in your new role?"
"I hope I can bring my knowledge of concurrent engineering and achieving customer outcomes to the team and then act as a conduit between the customers and manufacturer to make the customer’s dreams a reality."
"What’s one thing you’re passionate about in your field or industry?"
"Product. I’ve always been driven by adding value to a customer’s needs and delivering product. It’s a special bonus if their first reaction to seeing the finished product is a ‘Wow’ or tears of joy."
"What attracted you to this role or our company?"
"Having previously been a 'customer' of MPM, I've always admired just how much MPM stand out from their peers in the Composite industry. Being part of the team has reaffirmed that this is more than 'skin deep'. I am thrilled to be working for a company that focuses on the right ethos, the right results, and the right people. I also love the fact that at MPM we're not 'pigeon-holed' and the role can evolve around our personal drivers and skillset."
What’s a quote or personal motto that inspires you?"
"Do unto others as you would have them do unto you"
